PERRY OLIVER was born on November 1, 1941, in Pennsylvania, USA. From 1960 to 1967, he was a partner in the architectural design firm Oliver/Wright Associates, College Park, Maryland. In 1968, he travelled to Spain, and soon found a new home in Nerja (Málaga). In 1970, a close friend introduced him to printmaking, which he developed (autodidactic) at his studio in that village by the Mediterranean Sea. During the following years, he travelled in Spain, Morocco, France, Great Britain, Holland, Germany, and the USA. In 1986, he bought an old house and land in Frigiliana. During this period of the ´80s, new personal and professional relationships developed in Málaga, Andalusia, and Denmark. Jenny Bouchat and Oliver married in Gibraltar (1988). In 1999, he became passionately involved with sculpture and installed its studio at the Frigiliana farmhouse.
